How are the Ekodomes shipped, and what should I expect during delivery?

A quick guide to how your dome is packed, transported, and delivered from our factory in Istanbul to your address.

All Ekodomes ship from our factory in Istanbul in secure, clearly labeled crates and cage pallets. Everything is packaged so you can identify each component easily and check your shipment quickly once it arrives.

Here’s how it works.

How Your Dome Is Packed

1. Frame, hubs, and hardware

All aluminum frame struts, hubs, and hardware arrive together in one wooden crate.
For PRO Series domes, this may be two crates depending on size.

These wooden crates are easy to recognize:

• fully wooden on all sides
• Ekodome imprint on the exterior
• clear label identifying the framework

2. Panels

All panels are packed separately in heavy-duty wooden cage pallets, then fully wrapped in black protective film.

Each pallet has a clear, descriptive label. Nothing is ambiguous. You know exactly what each pallet contains before opening it.

3. Multiple dome orders

If you order more than one dome, sometimes smaller parts may be nested inside certain pallets to save space. All items remain labeled, secured, and accounted for in the packing list.

How It Ships

  1. Factory to Port (Turkey)
Our logistics partner collects and loads your crates and pallets.

  2. International Freight
Most orders ship by sea. Air freight is possible for lighter or time-sensitive shipments.

  3. Customs + Domestic Carrier
After clearing customs in your country, a domestic freight carrier takes over and contacts you directly for delivery.

Delivery and Scheduling

Once the shipment reaches the local carrier, they will:

• call you to schedule delivery
• bring a suitable truck
• unload with a liftgate

Although the carrier arranges trucks with lift-gates and pallet jack, because our crates are oversized and overweight, we strongly recommend having your own equipment on-site, such as:

  • A forklift or skid steer for easier unloading

  • A team available to assist with crate positioning on your property

Deliveries are typically curbside, and additional handling beyond that point is the customer’s responsibility.

Not Ready to Receive Delivery?

If your site isn’t ready or you can’t accept delivery when the shipment arrives stateside, the carrier will start applying daily storage fees. These charges are set by the freight company and must be paid before they release the shipment.

If there’s even a chance your site won’t be ready, tell us before we load your order in Istanbul. We can hold your shipment at the factory at no extra cost until you confirm you're ready. This prevents unnecessary storage fees and avoids complications with the domestic carrier.
