Can I connect the Ekodomes with a tunnel?
Learn how our tunnel modules work and what to expect when linking multiple domes together.
Yes, you can connect Ekodomes using our tunnel modules. This is the simplest and most reliable way to link two or more domes while keeping each structure fully independent and weather-proof.
How Tunnel Connections Work
Each dome remains its own self-supporting structure. The tunnel acts as an enclosed passageway between them without altering the engineered geometry of the domes.
Our tunnel modules:
- attach to a standard door opening
- create a comfortable, enclosed walkway
- keep each dome structurally separate
- maintain proper airflow, insulation, and door functionality
This method is ideal for dome homes, glamping suites, connected rooms, multi-room layouts, reception + lounge combos, dining domes, or resort clusters.
Why We Use Tunnel Modules Instead of Structural Fusion
Merging domes into a shared structural shell requires completely redesigning the frame geometry, running full structural calculations, and creating new manufacturing profiles. This becomes a full custom engineering project.
Tunnel modules avoid all of that. They are quicker, cost-effective, and easy to integrate into any layout.
Can You Build a More Complex Multi-Dome Arrangement?
Yes. If you want something beyond a standard tunnel connection, such as a wide shared vestibule, glass corridor, angled multi-dome cluster, or a custom connector, we can engineer it as a custom project. These require:
- custom design
- structural calculations
- additional production time
- higher cost
If you’re considering a more architectural or resort-level cluster, we can review your concept and let you know the best approach.
